Fitness Programs/Sports Camps University Recreation The University of Alabama

The Coordinator, Fitness Programs/ Sports Camps provides professional management and supervision for daily operations of all fitness, aerobics and sport camp programs for The University of Alabama. This includes scheduling of fitness and aerobic activities at the Student Recreation Center and the residence hall fitness centers. Coordinator hires, trains, and evaluates student staff, implements the annual calendars of events, and provides in-depth education programs for individuals and groups of various ages, cultures, and health status. Requires occasional night and weekend work.

Duties include:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in exercise science/physiology, fitness management or health related field. Master's degree preferred, as well as certification by ACE, AFAA, ACSM or NSCA. First Aid and CPR certification required. Two years experience in university or corporate fitness setting. Candidate must have exceptional human relations, verbal and written skills. The Coordinator mush have a working knowledge of IBM compatible systems, Windows, word processing, database, Internet and e-mail.

Salary: $24,000
